Founded in 2014 in Tamsui, Taiwan, Lennon Tool Bar is inspired by the traditional art of indigo dyeing—an industry that flourished in Taiwan over a century ago. At the time, Taiwan exported doroai, a key raw material for indigo dyes, to the Japanese Empire.
The brand draws from these historic dyeing techniques, translating them into a modern and distinctive colour palette.
Lennon Tool Bar – Shen Long
Part of the Summer Limited 2026 collection, Shen Long is inspired by the Divine Dragon, one of the guardian beasts in traditional Taiwanese folk religion. These mythical creatures protect temples and worshippers while symbolising the power of the gods. Shen Long represents wisdom, strength and prosperity. After travelling through clouds and rain for thousands of years, the Divine Dragon now rests at the temple gates, quietly watching over visitors and carrying their prayers to the heavens. The ink features a soft lavender grey with subtle blue and violet undertones, inspired by cloudy skies and drifting mist. Its delicate shading adds depth and elegance to every stroke.
