Founded in 2014 in Tamsui, Taiwan, Lennon Tool Bar is inspired by the traditional art of indigo dyeing—an industry that flourished in Taiwan over a century ago. At the time, Taiwan exported doroai, a key raw material for indigo dyes, to the Japanese Empire.
The brand draws from these historic dyeing techniques, translating them into a modern and distinctive colour palette.
Lennon Tool Bar – Qian Li Yan
Part of the Summer Limited 2026 collection, Qian Li Yan is inspired by one of the guardian beasts in traditional Taiwanese folk religion. These mythical guardians stand beside the deities, protecting temples and worshippers with their special abilities. Qian Li Yan, known as the Thousand-Mile Eye, has the ability to see far beyond mist, darkness and obstacles. It watches over the world, guiding and protecting those in search of a safe path. The ink features a deep teal turquoise with soft aqua green undertones, inspired by the sea mist touched by sunlight. Its beautiful shading creates a sense of calm, clarity and quiet elegance.
