Founded in 2014 in Tamsui, Taiwan, Lennon Tool Bar is inspired by the traditional art of indigo dyeing—an industry that flourished in Taiwan over a century ago. At the time, Taiwan exported doroai, a key raw material for indigo dyes, to the Japanese Empire.
The brand draws from these historic dyeing techniques and classic indigo tones, translating them into a modern and distinctive colour palette.
Lennon Tool Bar Oyster is a limited-edition set celebrating the heritage of Oriental culture. The set includes a 35 ml bottle of fountain pen ink, three postcards, two books detailing the tradition, and a Taiwanese audiobook.
Oysters, once plankton clinging to reefs or shells left by their ancestors, filter the ocean and follow the moon’s influence on the tides. When they are eventually shucked, they give themselves over to nourish others—a quiet devotion that extends life.
