Founded in 2014 in Tamsui, Taiwan, Lennon Tool Bar is inspired by the traditional art of indigo dyeing—an industry that flourished in Taiwan over a century ago. At the time, Taiwan exported doroai, a key raw material for indigo dyes, to the Japanese Empire.
The brand draws from these historic dyeing techniques, translating them into a modern and distinctive colour palette.
Lennon Tool Bar – Island Wood
Part of the Autumn Limited 2023 collection, Island Wood is inspired by Taiwan’s mountain railways and their history. In the past, large red steam trains travelled through the wilderness, carrying timber and supplies to people living below the mountains. Today, these red trains continue their journey through the mountains, passing beautiful landscapes and bringing people to their homes in the highlands. This ink celebrates Taiwan’s mountain scenery, railway history and the stories of life among the peaks.
