Founded in 2014 in Tamsui, Taiwan, Lennon Tool Bar is inspired by the traditional art of indigo dyeing—an industry that flourished in Taiwan over a century ago. At the time, Taiwan exported doroai, a key raw material for indigo dyes, to the Japanese Empire.
The brand draws from these historic dyeing techniques and classic indigo tones, translating them into a modern and distinctive colour palette.
The Formosa Series from Lennon Tool Bar is inspired by Taiwan’s local landscapes, inviting travelers to discover more of the island.
Hobe is the old Taiwanese name for Tamsui, where Lennon Tool Bar was founded. The color draws inspiration from the shimmering surface of the Tamsui River at sunset.
