Unlike heavily processed leather found in department stores, these features are part of its authentic character. When new, undyed vegetable-tanned leather starts as a pale, natural tone. It will age and darken with sunlight, just like skin. Over time, exposure to sun, daily handling, moisture, and conditioning will create a rich patina, giving the leather a warm, rustic, beautifully aged look.
