Original Writing Paper with Silky Smooth “A.Silky 865 Premium”
The inner sheets are made from an original, acid-free paper developed in collaboration with Oji Paper Co., Ltd., offering superior writability and durability. While acid-free paper is now widely used, this was not always the case. Until 1984, when APICA introduced the first acid-free notebook in Japan, most notebooks were made with acidic paper, which deteriorated quickly and lacked long-term preservation.
Motivated by the desire to “preserve important records for a long time,” we turned to acid-free paper—then used mainly for publications—and developed a writing paper that not only offers excellent archival stability but also a smooth, enjoyable writing experience. Each notebook is crafted using durable thread binding, where the pages and cover are sewn together with precision. This method not only ensures long-term durability but also allows the notebook to lie flat for a better writing experience.
