Founded in 2014 in Tamsui, Taiwan, Lennon Tool Bar is inspired by the traditional art of indigo dyeing—an industry that flourished in Taiwan over a century ago. At the time, Taiwan exported doroai, a key raw material for indigo dyes, to the Japanese Empire.
The brand draws from these historic dyeing techniques and classic indigo tones, translating them into a modern and distinctive colour palette.
The Formosa Series from Lennon Tool Bar draws inspiration from Taiwan’s local landscapes, inviting travelers to discover the island’s unique character.
Shuishalian is the name given by the Thao people—one of Taiwan’s Indigenous groups—to Sun Moon Lake. The color softly reflects the lake’s twin forms, capturing its gentle brilliance through a misty veil.
