Lives up to the hype
Simply one of the best pens for the price. The Diplomat Aero marks my first foray away from beginner's pens, and I am happy to say that I have made the right choice. Excellent build-quality, and a nib/feed combo that goes well with my drier inks. But it is especially good with more flowing inks. Good size for the weight with a slight bias towards the barrel, making it a nimble pen for my writing style despite the weight.
The Pearl White finish by nature has to be painted on. So it may not as tough of a finish as anodization, but there is a good layer of lacquer to protect it. It is however a more multi-dimensional finish. Depending on the lighting and the angle you look at it, it can look anything from a brilliant glossy white to an off-white with faint shades of pink and green with glitter.
