The Masterpiece Grande RESERVA – Blue Tears is an upgraded version of the original Masterpiece Grande, designed as a premium piston-filled fountain pen with a larger ink capacity and an ink window for easy monitoring. It features a large pen body, a smooth rolling clip, and a wide cap band embossed with the PENLUX logo and decorative patterns. This edition is inspired by the "Blue Tears" phenomenon in Matsu, Taiwan, where bioluminescent algae called Noctiluca Scintillans glow blue at night when disturbed. The pen captures the beauty and mystery of this natural light show, bringing a sense of wonder to every writing experience.
Founded in 1999 and only focus on private label writing instrument manufacturing. On 2015, Penlux decided to create its own label. Penlux specialize in product design, manufacturing and handcrafting. Their inhouse craftsmen passionate about the new design and materials. Their manufacturing facility is base in Taiwan and 80% of their products are done inhouse in order to ensure the quality and design confidently.
On Year 2004, they started their first partnership with TACCIA in California and lately sold the name on Year 2011. This was their branding business and learning much from their co-founder Shu Jen Lin about branding marketing. At the same year, they began representing Sailor Co. in Taiwan market until now. Penlux have been trying to expend their business not only OEM/ODM business but also branding and distribution.
Penlux mainly use turning and milling with computer numerically controlled lathes (CNC).
Penlux Masterpiece Grande fountain pens features an oversize resin body, decorated with gold or chrome trims. The sleek clip come a roller for ease of use. These fountain pens uses piston filling mechanism and its power with a German made JOWO nib size number #6.
