Product Description
This Pilot limited edition fountain pen commemorates Pilot's 90th anniversary in 2008 with Togidashi and Rankaku technique. The Toki, or crested ibis, is an emblematic bird of Japan, and it is depicted on this Emperor-size masterwork in an intricate and precise pattern of eggshell fragments in the exacting Rankaku technique. The Toki's vermillion skin is said to appear golden in the sunlight, an effect that master artisan Yasunori Sakamoto has captured in vivid red pigments and gold powder maki-e. The pen's other details are rendered in an array of techniques including burnished togadashi and raised takimaki-e, with raden (mother-of-pearl) accents. Medium 18K gold nib, large #50 size, engraved with 90th Anniversary motifs.
System: Fountain pen uses Pilot ink cartridge or converter Con70
Nib type: 18K nib Medium.
