The Bush Clover symbols of contemplation and flexible spirit arise from its gentle and unassuming beauty. Bush Clover or Hagi Flowers has been one of the seven favorite flowers of Autumn since antiquity. It also continues to be a source of inspiration in literature, appreciated for its gentle, wild and unpretentious beauty. More than 100 poems are dedicated to him in the oldest book of Japanese poetry, the Manyōshū, dating from the 7th century.
On this Namiki limited edition, the shimmering “Hagi” is illuminated by moonlight, delicately treated in silver Maki-e and red lacquer. In the background, the undergrowth takes the form of magnificent traditional fans realized with a grey lacquer and gold powder. All this made possible use the Togidashi-Hira Maki-e technique.
