Product Description
Ancora is founded by Giuseppe Zanini in 1919, who is one of the earliest pen makers in Italy to create perfect pens in his own factory, Ancora pens are meticulously made by hand till this day. At present, same as before, Ancora brand is associated with the best Italian traditions merged with the history of legendary pens. The production site of Ancora pens is still located in Italy near Milan.
A distinctive feature of the company is that it prefers to make nibs for pens by its own workers using 18K gold. The balance between modern technologies used in production and traditional decoration
of pen barrels with precious metals, gemstones and handled sea shells lets Ancora create pieces of pure art that are so highly valued by the owners and collectors all over the world.
This pen is dedicated to the legendary Mille Miglia - famous car race held in Italy from 1927 to 1957. Traditionally, the race has always been held on public roads, which did not even overlap. In this regard, the organizers had to set special reference points along the route. So pointer in 1,000 miles in the form of the switch became official symbol of ancient Italian racing. The Mille Miglia pen body is decorated with a portrait of the famous pilot Tazio Nuvolari and a fragment of the racing from 1930, made by hand. The beautiful pen is made of Acrylic resin, silver, gold plated, hand painted on nacreous mosaic, 18 K gold nib.
